Fine, it’s official: stripes and colorful frames are back. Not that they ever really left, but this week we have seen much more of them on the New York runways than we are able to count.
For Spring-Summer 2013, Michael Kors presented them up in spades. In high-contrast lines of black, red, green, and blue, they covered everything from zip-side one-pieces to skin-hugging bodysuits. The present notes explained the concept of “geometric glamour,” therefore, in addition to all those stripes, Kors presented up boxy separates in mod ’60s shapes adorned with optical checks or saturated in key hues. The sophisticated style came later when Karlie Kloss closed down the show sporting a slinky gown pierced with triangular in shape cutouts.
