Prada Uses Illustrators Instead of Models for New Sunnies Promotion

prada

While Prada usually uses the warmest models du jour to show off their products, for these sunnies–Prada is calling them “Minimal-Baroque”–they turned to fashion illustrators, an oft-overlooked talented subset of the fashion world. “To underscore the uniqueness and creativity which lie behind the production of these accessories Prada has opted to given an account of eyewear through the work of three illustrators…Ivo Bisignano, Marcela Gutierrez and Andrea Tarella,” read the release.
It’s fitting that Prada enlisted artists to sell sunglasses that are like mini works of art.

Prada Gets Personal

Prada

Prada’s new line of sunglasses comes with little plastic squares printed with letters, numbers, and symbols that fit into the side of the frames next to your temples (the spot where the Prada symbol normally goes). Each pair of glasses has two removable plaques on each temple; letters, numbers, and symbols can be user interchangeable for a truly unique accessories experience. These fab sunglasses are the perfect gift for the girl who has everything.

Only for a moment from the world of catwalks, to return to the world of our beloved celebrities who, in recent years appear to have developed a deep attachment to the sunglasses, an accessory that until a few years ago was considered as a mere object that he could not well be considered trivial in fact.
Just look at the image offered up here to get a taste of everything: the famous actress Mila Jovovich was in fact paparazzi during a break from the set, it’s running in The Three Musketeers along with fantastic 3D Orlando Bloom, in the company a very interesting pair of Prada sunglasses.

Prada Sunglasses: the extravagant frame sunglasses

We present to you a shocking pair of sunglasses appeared on a catwalk of the brands that have marched in this very intense fashion week that has just ended and he has seen, once again, the triumph of the fashion world and glamor.
This is the walkway on which the well-known brand Prada marched several pieces of clothing and accessories including very attractive, just that these fittings alone has done a lot to talk about themselves for its air so special, especially for a brand that, until to date, has always relied on a simple, essential, never too blatant.
In the spring / summer 2011 collection for this company I suggest this oversize frame consists of a rounded front and a very curious and original structure made of a blue china enriched on the surface, to be very precise white outlines that delineate even more hype.
So far it would seem nothing unusual except that these glasses are decorated with extraordinary games of round, baroque-looking curls that go to build the entire structure of these stunning Prada sunglasses.

Prada introduces Postcards Sunglasses audio-tale

Prada Postcard 2010

Prada Postcard 2010

Outside of every great metropolis is its great escape. This alter-ego is not antithesis, it’s the same self in different guise, a transformation that reveals something essential about both. Biarritz completes Paris. Milan unwinds into Forte dei Marmi.
Montauk is a soft reflection of Manhattan concrete. London to Cornwall, Lisbon to Setùbal and Los Angeles to the endless Pacific with Santa Monica. One is the brighter, lighter twin, a coquette displaying herself in the sun with girlish delight.
Resort towns can be elegant, demure or honky-tonk, but they’re essential to balance the seriousness of the cities where we send our breezy postcard messages, open faced, like a palm, that everyone – even the mailman! — can read along their route: “Wish you were here.” The sun hits the sea in glints and cuts through the accumulated grime of city life. By the time the postcard arrives back home, chances are the author has moved on. It’s a relic of a glistening moment, now in the past.
The Postcard Sunglasses capture that other side of the city, that voice captured in that light, happy scrawl, and the person into whom we transform as the city fades behind us, and the glimmering sea appears in the distance.
